ADVERSE EVENT MANAGEMENT

Cough

  • Before treatment, eat a small amount of yogurt, honey, or peanut butter, or drink very cold or very warm water
  • Use a short-acting bronchodilator pretreatment
  • Review proper technique for the prescribed device
  • Temporary dose reductions and/or slower titration
  • OTC or prescription cough medicines
  • Consider adjusting or optimizing other airway medications

Headache

  • OTC pain relievers
  • Temporary dose reductions

Throat irritation

  • Oral analgesic spray
